There are many factors that can affect the speeds of USB wireless adapters, but there are also several solutions that can be effective depending on the initial situation. What sucks is that my surface pro 4 can download just fine from the same distance. I have tried the sony video player, vlc player, plex media player/server and casting from windows 10. A couple of days ago, I went to my network adaptor and changed it to 802.11b but it didnt really make it faster. I have tried having only my tv and pc connected to the router and nothing changes. I have hard wired Cat6a all round the house. Has anyone had any joy with usb to ethernet adapters, so a faster wired connection can be made?
